SYLLABLES

Image
What are syllable?? Syllables is a part of a word that contains a single vowel sound and that is pronounced as a unit.for example;'book' has 1 syllable and reading(rea-ding) has 2 syllables. I know many of you know this but for beginners, its is helpful to know Korean letters. ¤How to make a sound (syllable) there are four(4) types of syllable in Korean; 1.v:어,에,오,요 2.cv:구,지,하,디 3.vc:안, 4.cvc:친,금 At this moment you should know it means thé structure of sound not character. WHAT I MEAN IS; you May see two different type of letter, for example; '닭-chicken' which is 'cvcc' form. In this case it is 'cvc' form which means '닭' is pronounced as '닥' not '닭', so last consonant sound should be one not two sound... Do you understand?? # ADMIN_jung :)
